Every single several course meal was like going to a five star restaurant. No matter you skill level, you will learn a lot every day. Sandra, Chris, Greg, Scarlett, Mike, Alessio, Ottavia, they all are super friendly, knowledgeable and outstanding chefs.
My husband and I feel very blessed to have had this opportunity. The 17th century villa where Maestro Giacomo Puccini used to live is beautiful. Cooking in the morning, site seeing after lunch all the surrounding beautiful towns, amazing food every meal, wine tasting, olive oil tasting, even a truffle hunt expedition, we felt so spoiled!
Simply the best travel experience of my life. The basic program includes morning cooking classes and visits to nearby towns in the afternoons, as well as wine and olive oil tastings and a truffle hunt with a meal based on truffles. It was fun, relaxing, indulgent, informative, interesting, entertaining and delicious.
The owner of the school is a master of Tuscan Cooking and will teach you about its history, ingredients, methods, folklore and more.
All of the staff are warm and welcoming, extremely knowledgeable and will engage you completely in the art and science of cooking in every lesson. This was a week full of joy and delight. I love to cook and bake; everything we ate and made was the most amazing food ever.
The entire trip was extremely memorable. The people who work at Toscana Saporita are the most incredible, loving, and talented people and it was a huge pleasure to spend time with them and share in their wealth of knowledge about food and Italian culture.
The accommodations are beautiful and rustic. The cooking lessons are super fun and educational. The food is sensational. The trips in the afternoon to sightsee are spectacular. We even allotted time to visit Cinque Terre for the entire day. Another day we went truffle hunting in the morning.
In short, the trip to Toscana Saporita was beyond incredible and I would recommend it to anyone who loves food, cooking, wine, and experiencing culture in an authentic way.
